What made you pick your ‘sound’ moment for this illustration?
One of my favourite movies is Titanic and it also has that super famous song My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion that became known by the entire world after the movie. So I thought it would be a great idea for the campaign.

What is your favourite movie soundtrack?
I’m not sure if I have a favourite movie soundtrack, but I can say that I love the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman

Has music had any influence on your illustration style?
I use to listen to music every time, to do anything: from shower to cooking. Since I wake up, so that certainly influences me.

What are your earliest memories of music?
A few weeks ago I went to a small concert of a Portuguese singer here in Porto.

Can you think of a perfect pairing between great visuals and sound?
Apart from the movie that I chose? The last Avengers was great! A gift for those who enjoy action scenes with lots of sound and visual effects.

Who are your biggest influences?
There’s a lot of them, but the ones that I follow quite longer is Mark Conlan, Willian Santiago, José Roda, Sam Larson...

How did you get into illustrating?
I worked as a graphic designer the last years (I always loved to illustrate but never thought I could be a professional illustrator), until last year when I moved to London and I completely left this area. I spent almost a year working in a restaurant. When I moved to Portugal, I ended up working at home and dedicating myself exclusively to illustration.

Does popular culture your drawings? (film, theatre, music, art)
I think so! I can't say how but I consume all of these on a daily basis, so it might influence my work.

Where do you see yourself taking your illustrations in the future?
I hope I can keep working with what I love and evolve as an artist, never set me completely in a style and be constantly changing, discovering new techniques.

What excited you most about this project?
It was a challenging campaign, mainly for leaving me so free to choose from the theme, to the colors and composition. Choosing a movie among so many that are part of my life wasn't easy but I'm very happy with the final result.
