Wood Fiber Cones

The wood fiber cone gives a light, rigid and uneven surface for even, piston-like motion and greatly reduced surface resonance.

Patented SMC

With an SMC magnet pole-piece surrounded by a slitted copper cap, the effect of the SMC is focused and maximised to reduce distortion.

Cabinet Construction

Creating separate chambers for each driver enables us to individually tune them for optimal output.

Hybrid Tweeter

Our signature DALI hybrid tweeter combines a dome tweeter and ribbon element for exceptional high frequency rendering.

THE ULTIMATE CENTRE SPEAKER

Clear and well-defined midrange

The RUBICON VOKAL is a striking and elegant balance between size and performance and is the ultimate centre speaker for all RUBICON series models. The two 6½" low-loss wood fibre woofers deliver a clear and well-defined midrange together with the hybrid tweeter module. It also uses the same soft dome diaphragm and many of the same SMC technologies used in the EPICON series. And like the rest of the RUBICON range, it features gold-plated bi-wiring terminals. Powerful enough to match the RUBICON 8 and still compact enough to fit in most living rooms.

PATENTED SMC

Reducing distortion with Soft Magnetic Compound

The RUBICON VOKAL draws on the heritage from the SMC-based 'Linear Drive System', introduced with the EPICON series. With SMC, we achieve extremely low distortion and maximise detail, even at low volume. The drivers are manufactured in-house at our production facilities in central Denmark and feature the latest in magnet motor technology. The RUBICON VOKAL sets new audio quality standards for Hi-Fi lovers around the world.

HYBRID TWEETER

The master of wide dispersion

The DALI hybrid tweeter module makes use of a soft dome tweeter and a ribbon element, working together to create an amazing rendition of the high frequencies. The voice-coil used in the RUBICON VOKAL soft dome is extremely light and agile, helping it deliver a broader bandwidth. The ribbon tweeter is the master of wide dispersion and, in combination with the soft dome, reaches as low as 2.5 kHz, providing continuous wide dispersion as the soft dome becomes more directional at higher frequencies. This extreme bandwidth combined with the ultra-wide dispersion is an important part of the DALI sound philosophy.

6½" WOOFERS

Drawing on technologies from our EPICON series

The woofer cones have a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure, which lowers the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures piston-like movement, significantly reduces the possibility of surface resonance and minimises distortion. Designed specifically for the RUBICON VOKAL, the soft, low-loss rubber surround includes a cast-aluminium chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system.

Compact enough to fit in most living rooms

The RUBICON VOKAL features the same hybrid tweeter and low-loss wood fibre drivers as our floorstanding RUBICON speakers. Striking an elegant balance between size and performance, the RUBICON VOKAL is powerful enough to match the RUBICON 8, and still compact enough to fit in most living rooms. The cabinet size helps the RUBICON VOKAL to reproduce even the lowest bass frequencies, from gripping movie action scenes to stunning orchestral performances.
