IKON 6 MK2 gets five stars and Gold in T3 magazine

EISA-award winning stereo equipment is being tested in the latest edition of Danish T3. And the magazine draws a very positive conclusion as regards the stereo and the DALI IKON 6 MK2 speakers.

The stereo being tested consists of three EISA-winner; A Denon PMA-1510AE amplifier, Denon's SACD (DCD-1510AE), and DALI's IKON 6 MK2, the EISA-award winning European Loudspeaker 2010-2011.

T3 notes that the IKON 6 MK2's, although floorstanding loudspeakers, are quite compact, discreet, and slim. Furthermore, they speak in highly positive terms of DALI's "brilliant" "signature" - the hybrid tweeter.

Here's two quotes (translated from Danish) from the review's conclusion headlined "Silky and rough tweeter":

"This strange headline is to be interpreted as follows: In this connection the DALI IKON MK2 is one of the very few loudspeaker pairs I'd recommend for classical as well as rhythmical music. Some violin concerts may sound strident on many stereos, but ring silky and pleasantly on this DALI/Denon combination."

"In the other end of the audio spectrum, the bass is really good and dry".

DALI's EISA-winning speakers get the maximum 5 stars in this hi-fi test from T3. See a minor extract of the hybrid tweeter description below (text in Danish) and find the full text here.
