Bach. There’s no hesitation when I ask who the most challenging classical composer to perform as a guitar quartet is. It’s Bach. Always was and always will be. We’ll get back to Bach during the interview, but first, let’s introduce this highly acknowledged classical guitar quartet:

Yes, he’s the son of Paul Simon. Yet, he’s also a highly competent musician in his own right. He now announces the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut with new album, Division Street, produced by Tom Rothrock (Elliot Smith, Beck).

The Faroese singer Teitur has proven to be a lasting, unique voice on the western music scene. Right now, he’s in the middle of a large-scale tour – in Chicago, which is one of his favourite US cities because, as he claims, it’s got a real soul.

RON SEXSMITH
Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, and Chris Martin. Paul McCartney, Lucinda Williams, Michael Bublé, and Steve Earle. The fans of Ron Sexsmith are many and notable. Yet this shy, Canadian songwriter never really had the major breakthrough his crowd of admirers believe he deserves.
LARSEN AND FURIOUS JANE
Three years after their widely acknowledged album, ”Zen Sucker” (2008), Danish rock band Larsen & Furious Jane is back with a brand new album. We talked to the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Torsten Larsen, about the album, music for free, loudspeakers, and what it’s like being in a gentlemen’s club.
