Hangsugárzók
A helyszínen gyártott hangsugárzókat úgy állítjuk be, hogy megfeleljenek a nekik rendeltetett RUBICON típusoknak. A RUBICON 8-ban található három 6½ colos hangsugárzó mind együtt dolgozik a tiszta, részletes és nem színezett hangzás elérése érdekében. A RUBICON sorozat az EPICON sorozattal együtt bemutatott SMC-n alapuló "Linear Drive Rendszer" technológiájából merít. Az SMC hangsugárzókból származó technológia felhasználásának segítségével nagy lépést tettünk abban az irányban, hogy megszűntessük a nem kívánt torzítás nagyon nagy részét. A mélysugárzókat hosszú löketre, a középsugárzókat pedig széles használható frekvencia átvitelre terveztük, biztosítva ezzel, hogy a roll-off nem a hangsugárzóban, hanem a keresztváltóban történik. Mindez biztosítja, hogy az SMC-ből eredő előnyöket még több Hi-Fi kedvelő élvezheti szerte a világon.
Magas sugárzók
A RUBICON sorozatban a magas frekvenciák lenyűgöző megszólaltatásához a DALI a külön működő lágy szövet magas sugárzóiból építkező hibrid magas sugárzó konfigurációt használja. A RUBICON sorozatban használt hangtekercset úgy terveztük, hogy nagyon könnyű és rugalmas legyen a szélesebb frekvencia sávszélesség elérése érdekében. Ezt a könnyebb hangtekercset egy erőteljes ferrit mágnes belsejébe helyeztük, amely irányítja annak mozgását. A ribbon magas sugárzó a széles hangszórás mestere és a lágy szövettel kombinálva a magas sugárzó már 2,5 KHz-től szól Ez az ultra széles hangszórással ötvözött extrém sávszélesség a DALI hangzás filozófiájának fontos részévé vált.
Hangfal ház
A Rubicon kecses és elegáns külsője a low-loss hangsugárzók bázisaként működik. A közép- és mélysugárzók minden hangfal házban külön helyet kaptak. A légörvényeket a bass reflex nyílás minimalizálja, amelyet közvetlenül a hangsugárzók mögött került elhelyezésre és ezáltal is optimalizáltuk a mélysugárzó és a basszus port közötti időzítést.
SMC
With the introduction of the SMC based "Linear Drive System", we've broken new ground in the loudspeaker industry. With the drivers manufactured in-house at our Danish factory, and featuring the latest in magnet motor technology, the RUBICON 8 is ready to set new standards for audio quality for Hi-Fi lovers around the world.
The RUBICON 8 draws upon the heritage from the SMC based ‘Linear Drive System, which was introduced with the EPICON series. With the use of the technology from the SMC drivers, we have taken a step closer to remove a very large part of the unwanted distortion. The bass drivers are optimized for long excursion, and the midrange driver for a large useful frequency range insuring that the roll-off is handled in the crossover and not in the driver. All this ensures that the benefit from SMC can be enjoyed by even more Hi-Fi lovers around the world.
HYBRID TWEETER
In the RUBICON 8, DALI makes use of both the soft dome tweeter working alone, and the hybrid tweeter configuration an amazing rendering of the high frequencies. The voice coil used in the RUBICON 8 is designed to be very light and agile in order to achieve a broader bandwidth. This lighter voice coil is placed inside a powerful ferrite magnet that keeps a tight control of its movements.
The ribbon tweeter is the master of wide dispersion and combining it with the soft dome, the tweeter module starts working as low as 2.5 KHz. This extreme bandwidth combined with the ultra wide dispersion is an important part of the DALI sound philosophy.
DRIVERS
Assembled in-house, every driver in each of the RUBICON models are configured to match the model they are destined for. The three 6½ inch drivers used in RUBICON 8 all work together to reproduce a clean, detailed sound with no colouration.
The cones used in the RUBICON 8 draws upon the heritage from the EPICON technologies, and has a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure. This lower the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures even piston like movements, reduces the possibility of surface resonance greatly and creates an extremely low distortion within the RUBICON 8.
The soft low-loss rubber surround is designed and bespoke specifically for the RUBICON 8, and all of the components are situated in an aluminum chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system.
CABINET
The gracefully elegant exterior of the RUBICON 8 works as the base for the low-loss drivers. In every cabinet, the mid-range and bass drivers are separated into their own chambers. Turbulence is minimized through a bass reflex port, which is placed directly behind every woofer, and the timing between the woofer and the bass port is thereby also optimized.
Standing over a metre tall, the elegantly styled RUBICON 8 is constructed from solid MDF and is available in four striking finishes: High-Gloss White, High-Gloss Black, Rosso and Walnut. As with its floor standing siblings, it also comes complete with both spike set and rubber feet plus a polishing cloth to keep your new pride and joy fingerprint free.
