Antonio Forcione (b. 1960) is an Italian guitarist, composer and performer living in London.

Forcione has played festivals around the world, double-billing with renowned guitar players such as John McLaughlin, John Scofield and Leo Kottke. You'll also see him opening concerts with icons like Phil Collins, Zuchero and Jools Holland.

Forcione's talents and innovative approach are not limited to guitar playing. He has explored his horizons by playing in musical comedy theatre shows and, from 1992-1996, was the musical director of the Olé Troupe.

Tears of Joy
Tears of Joy on the DALI CD is the title track from the album recorded in 2005. The track features guitars, percussion, cello and double bass. It sets out with a happy and inviting theme, immediately showcasing Forcione's skills as a guitar player.

The sound of the recording is spacious with huge detail. Throughout the song, percussion plays an important role alongside Forcione's lead guitar. Together with the subtle double bass, it drives the rhythm and creates a constant feeling of space. At times, the quartet plays loud, pulsating and forceful music. At other times, they shift back down to subtle levels. Dynamics play a very important role in this recording.
