How does music fit into your everyday life?

Music is a constant companion for me. During work, it keeps me focused and energised, guiding me through the day. But in the evenings, it takes on a different role. It becomes my way to relax, unwind, and let go of the day’s stresses. There’s something almost meditative about sinking into a good track at the right moment.

Sometimes I enjoy classic two-channel listening, other times I immerse myself in full 3D sound. It all depends on my mood and the kind of evening I want to have.

What was your earliest memory of being influenced by music?

As a child, I never wanted to listen to the same music as my parents, I was determined to find my own sound. Ironically, now I have some of those very records in my collection, and they hold a new appreciation for me. Funny how tastes can come full circle.

When did your interest in high-quality sound begin?

It really kicked off when I bought my first pair of floor-standing speakers from Heco. But the real turning point came when I brought DALI speakers into my living room. That’s when it felt like the sun had risen on my listening experience, suddenly every note, every detail came alive in a way I hadn’t known before.

How do you discover new music and artists?

Inspiration strikes from a mix of places. High End audio shows are brilliant for discovering new artists, and I also keep an eye on various music-related Facebook pages. There’s something exciting about spotting a recommendation that ends up completely reshaping your playlist.

What were the last albums you purchased?

The most recent album I picked up was by Anette Askvik. Her music has such a unique, emotional pull. I also added some Schiller (Atmos version) and Booga Shade to my collection. Each one offers a different sonic landscape that feels perfect for exploring on my system.

In particular, Anette Askvik’s album is very special because I got it signed at the High-End Munich show in 2025. It’s not just about the music, it’s about the memory and the personal connection. That album will always stand out.

What kind of sound system do you have?

My setup is a 7.2.4 system featuring DALI RUBIKORE 8 and DALI RUBIKORE CINEMA, with DALI OPTICON LCR MK2 speakers and DALI FAZON SAT for the height channels. It’s a truly immersive system. Every instrument, every subtle note feels as though it’s right there in the room. Music has never felt so alive.

The combination of the DALI RUBIKORE 8 speakers and the Trinnov Altitude 16 processor has completely transformed my listening experience. It’s now richer, more detailed, and utterly captivating.

Do you prefer CDs, vinyl, or digital formats?

I mostly stream my music now, it’s convenient, and I can explore so much more without worrying about storage space. Though there’s something special about holding a physical record, streaming makes discovering new music effortless.

What kind of music do you listen to?

Right now, I’m into Schiller and Booga Shade. Their music is immersive and pairs perfectly with my system, letting me experience every nuance and texture. But I listen to almost anything that’s fun and engaging. I believe music should spark joy, and I follow wherever that feeling takes me.
