Happy Home is a departure from the 'ghetto pop' genre, a term Lukas Graham often uses about his music. Written in collaboration with Rasmus Hedegaard, one of Denmark's best DJs, the track demands your attention with Graham's strong vocal and honest lyrics creating an insistent and intense atmosphere.

Lukas Graham - Happy Home (Hedegaard)
From the album The Blue Album (2015)
Label: Copenhagen Records
Appears on: DALI CD Vol. 4
There are artists who chase fame with such ruthless intent that, when it arrives, they become someone else, someone their real friends don't recognise. Then there's Lukas Graham.
The Danish/Irish 27-year-old singer and songwriter from Christiana in central Copenhagen is a bona fide chart sensation in his native Denmark who, with his recent album release, smashed all records with more than 750,000 downloads in the first 24 hours! And yet, he’s the same Lukas Graham that he was before it all started.
"I'm the guy standing on stage and sitting in the studio," he says, adding "and I know for a fact that I'm not doing anything differently than I was a year ago. Apart from a little more experience in handling the stage and the audience, that's it."
Maybe it's the Irish blood from his father that gives Graham his feisty, no-frills attitude. All he wants to do is tell stories by writing and performing songs that mean something to him and his audience.
Happy Home is a departure from the 'ghetto pop' genre, a term Lukas often uses about his music. Written in collaboration with Rasmus Hedegaard, one of Denmark's best DJs, the track demands your attention with Graham's strong vocal and honest lyrics creating an insistent and intense atmosphere.
Originally, Happy Home was recorded with just a synthesizer. However, the version on this CD includes Graham’s band, which we believe offers a lot more dynamics and less compression for a more focused and honest vocal.
