The founder of DALI
Peter founded DALI in Denmark in 1983, with the ambition of creating loudspeakers that deliver a natural and authentic musical experience. From the very beginning, the company has combined Danish design and engineering with a strong focus on sound quality. That philosophy continues to define DALI today.
Peter’s influence on the audio industry extends well beyond DALI. Throughout his career, he has founded and developed several influential audio companies and brands, including HiFi Klubben, Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf, and has been involved in the development of technologies spanning loudspeakers, amplification, digital audio and room correction.
A lasting influence on audio
Peter’s approach has consistently been centered on using technology to improve the listening experience rather than technology for its own sake. This philosophy has helped drive innovation across the companies he has founded and has influenced generations of audiophiles and the wider high-end audio industry.
