ASCARO Padel & Social Club Elevates the Game with DALI Outdoor Speakers

High-energy sport meets high-fidelity sound

ASCARO Padel & Social Club has opened its flagship venue at TREC Kuala Lumpur, bringing together sport, social life and music in one of the city’s most vibrant entertainment districts. To support this unique environment, the venue required a powerful and flexible audio solution capable of delivering consistent, high-quality sound across both outdoor and indoor areas.

DALI provided a complete audio ecosystem built around its latest outdoor speakers and weather-resistant speaker solutions. The result is a sound system that enhances the experience for players and guests alike – from intense padel matches to relaxed social gatherings and large-scale events.

Covering an area of 1,115 m², the ASCARO flagship integrates professional padel courts with food, beverage and lounge areas. The audio system therefore had to perform reliably in a variety of environments, including fully outdoor spaces, semi-open zones and interior areas.

Powerful outdoor speakers designed for demanding environments

At the heart of the installation are 26 DALI GARDIAN outdoor speakers, strategically installed across the courts and outdoor social areas. Designed specifically for demanding installations, the GARDIAN series delivers wide and consistent sound dispersion while maintaining the clarity and musicality associated with the DALI sound philosophy.

These robust outdoor speakers provide reliable performance in changing weather conditions, making them ideal for sports venues, hospitality environments and event spaces where durability and sound quality must go hand in hand. Their design ensures balanced sound coverage across large open areas, allowing music and announcements to remain clear even during busy matches and social events.

By combining durability with high-fidelity performance, the GARDIAN speakers demonstrate how professional outdoor audio can enhance modern sports and lifestyle venues.

Weather-resistant ceiling speakers for seamless integration

In covered and semi-open areas, the installation uses nine DALI PHANTOM E-80 WR weather-resistant speakers. These in-ceiling models are engineered for environments where moisture, humidity and temperature variations require reliable and durable audio solutions.

The PHANTOM E-80 WR speakers deliver powerful, detailed sound while remaining visually discreet. Installed flush with the ceiling, they maintain the clean architectural aesthetics of the venue while ensuring smooth and even sound distribution in areas such as the lobby, hospitality zones and sheltered seating areas.

Together with the outdoor speakers, these weather-resistant speakers create a cohesive sound environment that transitions seamlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Flexible multi-zone audio for sport, hospitality and events

To support the diverse activities at ASCARO, the system is configured into eight independently controlled audio zones. These include the padel courts, food and beverage areas, lobby, pool area, open social spaces and amenities.

Each zone features individual volume control, allowing staff to adapt the sound environment throughout the day, from energising music during matches to a more relaxed atmosphere in social areas.

The system also supports dual audio inputs, enabling flexible routing for DJs, wireless microphones and other event sources. Streaming, mixing and source management are handled through WiiM CI streamers and an Allen & Heath GR4 mixer, integrated with a DALI AMP-4750 multi-channel amplifier.

This flexible configuration allows ASCARO to transform effortlessly from a daytime sports venue into a vibrant evening destination.

Discreet design and architectural integration

In addition to performance, careful consideration was given to the visual integration of the audio system. The black finish of the GARDIAN outdoor speakers blends discreetly with the venue’s architectural elements when wall-mounted across outdoor areas.

Inside the covered zones, the white PHANTOM E-80 WR speakers remain virtually invisible when installed in the ceiling, preserving the venue’s modern and clean design.

This approach ensures that the technology enhances the overall atmosphere of the club without distracting from the architectural concept or the sporting experience.

A reference installation for outdoor and lifestyle venues

Delivered over a six-month period from initial planning to final commissioning, the ASCARO installation has become an important reference project for DALI’s outdoor and commercial audio solutions in the APAC region.

The project demonstrates how high-performance outdoor speakers and weather-resistant speakers can transform sports venues into immersive lifestyle destinations where music, sport and social interaction come together.

ASCARO has also implemented DALI audio solutions at its club in Cambodia, establishing a consistent technical approach across multiple locations as the brand expands further.
