Caroline Henderson began her successful career as a pop princess in the late '80s to early '90s. Over the years, the singer has evolved and today, Hendersen is recognised as the undisputed Jazz Diva of Denmark.

Caroline Henderson kicked off her career as a rising pop princess back in 1989, but despite her success, she could never quite conform to the genre. After two successful releases, she took a few years off, re-emerging as a jazz diva in 1995 with her solo debut album, Cinemataztic. The critically well-received album was co-produced with another pioneer on the Danish jazz scene (who performs elsewhere on this very album), Thomas Blachman. Cinemataztic merged pop, trip-hop and jazz, and became a landmark for Henderson, winning her seven Danish Music Awards the following year.

Although Henderson originates from Sweden, many Danes have adopted her as their own. Why wouldn't they, when Henderson is recognised as the undisputed Jazz Diva of Denmark, has won 8 Danish Music Awards and is a member of the royal Danish order of chivalry, the Order of Dannebrog.
