At Heat Space, a Danish sauna concept in Odense, music becomes more than background sound. With a DALI sound system, heat, scent and high-quality audio come together to create a more immersive experience and a new way to think about sound in commercial spaces.
Sound as part of the experience
Music can transform an environment. In a restaurant, it can shape the atmosphere. In a hotel, it can set the mood from arrival to departure. In a retail space, it can influence how we experience our surroundings. And in a sauna, it becomes part of the experience itself.
That is the thinking behind the sound installation at Heat Space, a Danish sauna concept in Odense. The sauna features a DALI sound solution designed to bring high-quality audio into a demanding environment where music, atmosphere and sensory experiences come together.
Sound designed for the environment
Heat Space has installed six DALI GARDIAN OW 6 loudspeakers inside the sauna and two outside, creating dedicated sound coverage across both areas.
The installation is powered by two DALI CI AMP-4125 multi-channel amplifiers, providing eight channels in total. Two Bluesound NODE NANO music streamers provide the source, one dedicated to the sauna and one to the outdoor area.
The result is a flexible two-zone audio solution that allows Heat Space to control the sound experience independently inside and outside the sauna.

More than background music
For Heat Space, sound is not simply there to fill the room.
It is part of the overall experience.
Heat, scent, music and atmosphere all play a role in the sauna sessions, creating an environment where visitors are encouraged to slow down and be present.
This is where a well-designed audio solution can make a real difference. Rather than treating loudspeakers as an afterthought, the sound system becomes an integrated part of the space and the experience it is designed to deliver.
Sound beyond the ordinary
A sauna is an environment where every detail contributes to the overall experience. The choice of music, its presence throughout the space and the way it is experienced all play a role in creating the right atmosphere.
With dedicated sound zones inside and outside the sauna, Heat Space can adapt the music to different areas and moments of the experience. Whether guests are relaxing in the heat or spending time outdoors, the sound system provides a consistent, high-quality listening experience.
It is a good example of how thoughtful audio design can help businesses create more engaging environments, where sound is considered an essential part of the experience rather than simply an addition.

Sound in commercial spaces
At DALI, we believe great sound can become an important part of how people experience a space.
The sound installation at Heat Space shows how a carefully considered audio solution can be integrated into a commercial environment, combining sound quality, flexibility and the practical requirements of a demanding installation.
For businesses looking to create memorable environments, it is another example of how sound can play a role far beyond simply filling a space with music.
